I am looking for good people. At this time we are in need of one part-time (20-25 hrs/week)employee who is good with people, learns quickly, is responsible, trustworthy, likes coffee (not an essential, but it helps), can work with food and coffee and is available to work weekends and nights at times.

Coffee Roaster (will train the "right person")

Since we roast all our own coffee on site in Gilroy, I am looking for a very special person who would be interested in learning how to roast coffee. This job has flexible working hours, but you must be available when the coffee needs to be roasted. The skill sets for this are very unique: you must be interested in coffee, enjoy developing a specialized craft that is extremely satisfying, be aware of the safety aspect of working with a hot roaster in the middle of a store, have a lot of common sense, be very careful and meticulous about getting the job done right, know that it takes practice to do it right, be able to lift 25-50lbs, be interested in learning as much about coffee as there is and helping others to learn about coffee.

Since we put a lot of energy, money and time into training, we are looking for someone who is willing to stay with us for a while. These are NOT a short term positions.

This is a fun place to work but it does carry quite a bit of responsibility. The person MUST have good references.
